Crossing AI Levels at Sonic Speed

At the start of the AI craze in 2023, Open AI mentioned its target levels of evolution for AI development. Level 1 is Chatbot, where it can have conversational language Level 5 is Organisations where it can work in an organisation. It was estimated that it will take 10 years to reach Level 5. But with the current rate of development that timeline seems to shorten drastically unless it’s an operational call to slow down.

As of now, the AI ecosystem has entered Level 3, which is Agents, where it can take action. Whether it is Microsoft Copilot or similar agents, the evolution from giving textual answers to taking action has been merely eighteen months. During the same period, Voice modes have reached the translation of not only words but also the actual context.

Recently, Open AI added a Canvas feature to its service. Writers and coders can have conversations and feedback on the task along with the expected output. This removes many levels of work stage for an organisation or even freelancers.

Assuming the intensity of competition and accelerated targets internally. Level 4 is Innovators, where AI can aid in invention is around the corner. This level might already being used at the enterprise level but to provide access to individuals will have exponential impact.

Given such a radical pace of development and acceptance. There will be many businesses and individuals that need to recalculate their strategy to even survive the next decade or a crisis.
